Andreu Castells - mónFILMAT

Brand. mónFILMAT needed a brand to differenciate itself from other renouned spanish film festivals, like Sitges or San Sebastián's Film Festivals. While still on theme, the brand focuses on the landscapes in which the films would be screened and the different sceneries and experiences that would come out of it. The envoirment around the festival is recognised by the UNESCO as a biosphere reservoir, so the brand's concept and visual language highlights its beauty while still talking about cinema.

mónFILMAT it's a small film festival focusing on landscape. It takes place in Ebro river's delta, in Spain, known for its natural beauty and biodiversity.

The concept behind this project was inspired by its landscape seen through the digital camera's lense. The brand as well as the festival interacts with the landscape as a camera looking for subjects to film.

The concept evolved into an unique visual language. Even in situations when it needed to be kept simple and minimal, the visual identity could show it's personality.
